Microsoft Publisher is an excellent tool for creating publications. It is not widely popular like Word or Excel, but it is used quite a lot by everyone who needs to deal with publications. Teachers, for example, use it very often in their work.
So, if you work in a publishing industry or frequently deal with posters, flyers, calendars and similar documents, you are probably receiving documents in .pub format from time to time. If you have Microsoft Publisher installed, you can open the .pub format easily, but if you don’t, then things can get complicated.
If you use a desktop computer, you can always use the publishertopdf.com website to convert the .pub format into PDF. If you are an iPhone or iPad user, don’t despair, because there is a pretty neat solution for you, as well.
Our latest mobile app allows you to convert .pub documents into PDF right on the device. You can download it from here:
The PDF format is easily visible to any platform or device, so you can view the document somebody sent you without problems. You can even share it further with your friends or co-workers, not having to worry about visibility issues.
Here is how this app works:
Go to the app where the Publisher file is located; for example, it can be in your email.
Tap on the file to get the Open In menu. Choose Publisher to PDF from the list.
After that, the conversion will start. The device will notify you when the new file is ready for download. After that, go to the app and the new PDF file will be waiting for you.
The good thing about this app is that it can be used for free. So, you don’t have to pay; all you need is to maybe wait a bit as we have introduced conversion queues, to be able to keep up with all requests. Premium (lifetime) users can skip the waiting every time with a one-time payment of $1.99.
