Microsoft PowerPoint is a great tool for creating presentations and slideshows, commonly used for professional and educational purposes. It gives you a creative and interest way to present an idea that can sometimes be much more effective than simply talking about it.
Once you have created a slideshow using PowerPoint, you might want to convert some of your slides into images so that you can send them easily to people. For example, if you want to show a particular graph you have created in a PowerPoint slideshow to someone without having to send them the entire presentation, you might want to turn that slide into an image instead.
Here’s how you would go about doing that.
Once you have created and saved your PowerPoint slideshow, go to File > Save As…
Type a name for your new file and then go to the dropdown menu below to select your new file type.
There you can select what image format you want to save your slide as. Offered formats are JPG, TIFF, GIF and PNG.
Once you click the “Save” button, PowerPoint will ask you whether you want to save only the currently displayed slide as an image or the entire slideshow.
If you want to convert a single slide, make sure that the slide you want to turn into an image is the one that is currently being displayed.
If you choose the option to save the entire slideshow as an image file, PowerPoint will create a folder for this purpose and then save each of the images individually in the file format you have specified and put them all in that new folder.
The slides will be saved as images and will be named “Slide 1, Slide 2, etc”. You can then change the name of your folder if you want to and name the images individually if you want a more detailed description of each slide that has been converted.
