When you are reading or analyzing a PDF, sometimes you need to see it in a couple of windows in order to compare various sections of the same PDF and help you to read and analyze it thoroughly.
If you want to open up the same PDF in two different windows using Adobe Reader, which is by far the most popular PDF reader on the market, there is a way for you to do just that.
Let’s take a look at how you can go about doing this.
Open the PDF you want to use by clicking on the File menu and selecting “Open…”
Now go to the Window menu and click on “New Window.”
You now have two windows of the same PDF. One is labeled “pdf:1” and the other is labeled “pdf:2” so that you can differentiate between the two easily when you are comparing them.
Another fast method for opening up a PDF in another window is to create a Shortcut.
Right click on your desktop and then go to New > Shortcut.
Now click on “Browse…”
In your Program Files folder, find Adobe Reader and in that folder, find the AcroRd32 .exe file and select it.
Now add “/n” at the end of the destination file before clicking “Next.”
Now when you want to open up a PDF in a new Window, all you need to do is drag it the shortcut you’ve just created.
