VGA cable is a serial port cable, which is used to display video in the monitor or any other display unit such as projector.

CD/DVD/FLOPPY:

CD, DVD and FLOPPY are one kind of secondary memory. But the storage capabilities of these secondary memories are not same.

           CD, there are different type of CD; some of them are CD-R.CD-RW. These CD uses optical technology to some data on it. The storage capability of the CD is 650-720 MB. It is a portable device. Some types of CD can be re used i.e. rewriteable disk. The primary use of this disk is to store file and software.

           DVD is also a portable storage capacity of the DVD is 4.7 GB to 8.5 GB. There are different types of DVD; these are DVD Rom. DVD-R, and DVD-RW. DVD is also used in alter of CD to store large size file. It also uses optical technology to store data.

             FLOPPY is also portable device. The storage capacity of the floppy disk is 1.44 MB. It is to store short data. Such as like very small text file. It uses magnetic disk to store data.

SCANNER:

A scanner is an input device and is used to input data into the computer system in the form of picture. It optically scans images, printed text, handwriting or an object, and converts it in to a digital image. Examples of scanners are a desktop or flatbed scanner.

             In scanners the document is placed on a glass window for scanning Mechanically driven scanners that move the document are typically used for large-formatted volume of documents.

             Another type of scanner is a planetary scanner. This scanner takes photographs of books and documents. Three dimensional scanners used for producing three dimensional models of SCANNER objects.

BAR CODE READER:

A barcode reader is an electronic device which is used to read printed BAR CODE READER. Barcode represent alphanumeric data which is a combination of vertical lines (bars) that very in width and length. It is a fast effective way to input data. A Barcode reader used a laser beam to read the series of thick and thin lines which represent the code number. The bar code 13 digit long and it has four main divisions. The First two digit of bar code represent the country, the second part products code (five digits) and the last digit is a check digit.

OMR:

The full from of OMR is Optical Mark Recognition. OMR is the scanning of paper to detect the presence or absence of mark in a predetermined position. Now days, it is used as an input device for source data entry purpose. University and colleges often use OMR for evaluation of OMR sheets for competitive exams. OMR sheets consists of multiple choice question papers and students are required to make a mark to indicate their answers. OMR is used in the evaluation of questionnaires, surveys and university exam OMR sheets.

PROJECTOR:

There are normally used for large group presentation. These systems can be connected to a computer and whatever appears on the computer terminal gets enlarged and projected on a large screen. Video projector receives video signal and projector on the corresponding image on a projection screen. It uses lens system for this projection. These are popularly used for seminars, class room lectures, marketing presentation and conference room presentation etc.
